Terms of Service SoundStat API

1. General Provisions

This Terms of Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") governs the relationship between SoundStat (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") and the Internet user (hereinafter referred to as the "User") arising from the use of the SoundStat API service.

By using the Service, the User confirms acceptance of the terms of this Agreement and the Service's Privacy Policy.

2. Subject of the Agreement

The Service provides the User with access to an API with audio characteristics analysis of music tracks. The use of the API is provided on a paid basis according to established rates.

3. License and Ownership of Analysis Output

All audio analysis results ("Output") returned by the Service are produced independently by SoundStat through our own direct analysis of audio. The Output is not sourced from, derived from, or subject to the terms of Spotify or any other third-party provider.

Subject to these Terms and an active, paid account, SoundStat grants the User a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, redistribute, resell, and create derivative works from the Output — including using the Output as features or training data for machine-learning models, and incorporating it into commercial products and services.

Attribution is not required, and the license for Output already delivered is not revoked if the User's account later ends. SoundStat retains all rights in the Service, the API, and its underlying models and software.

4. Terms of Use

  • The User agrees to use the API only for lawful purposes
  • Sharing the API key with third parties is prohibited
  • The User is responsible for all actions performed using their API key
  • The Service reserves the right to restrict access when usage limits are exceeded

5. Pricing and Payment

The cost of using the API depends on the number of unique tracks per month:

  • Up to 5,000 tracks - €0.01 per track
  • 5,000-15,000 tracks - €0.0075 per track
  • 15,000-30,000 tracks - €0.006 per track
  • Over 30,000 tracks - €0.005 per track

Payment is made by topping up the balance through the Stripe payment system.

Important: All funds added to the balance are non-refundable. Once credited, the balance cannot be withdrawn or returned.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". The Service is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the API.

7. Confidentiality

The Service commits to maintaining the confidentiality of information provided by the User. Personal data processing is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to Terms

The Service reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement. The User agrees to regularly check the terms for changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Term of Agreement

This Agreement enters into force from the moment the API is first used and remains in effect indefinitely until the User ceases to use the Service or the Service is terminated.

10. Contact Information

For all questions related to API usage, the User can contact Service support through the website's feedback form.
